RAW SPAGHETTI
My hubby and I really like following Dr. Axe on the radio. He is on 99.7 on Sunday nights, he is a health and wellness Dr. We recently went to his Maximized Living Seminar, and got incredible facts of what foods do to our bodies. I love learning what our super fruits and veggies are, and what all that other junk we love to eat too do to our bodies. It got me inspired to take on a few of his recipes. He is not vegan/vegetarian. But believes eating a balanced food life, can do wonders to your body. I will post all my good info and notes tomorrow to my blog! Here is one of his recipes we made this week, we really enjoyed.
Raw Spaghetti
4 Tomatoes (we bought the ones on the vine)
1 Red Pepper *we actually did the red pepper + 1/4 green pepper+1/4 yellow pepper
1 Cup Sun dried Tomatoes
1 tsp Agave Nectar *we used honey instead (optional)
1/4 C. extra virgin olive oil
2 Garlic Cloves Crushed
3/4 tsp Salt
Pinch Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp fresh minced basil
2 Tbsp fresh minced oregano
Mix everything except the oil in a food processor. Put in bowl and add oil.
For Noodles
6 Med Green Zucchini
Use spiral slicer to transform into noodles
**we used a cheese slicer
Toss together, serve immediately.
*We love pepper so we added a lot to it.
